Inductively Coupled Plasma
Optical Emission Spectrometer
JY-4R,France

Principle of operation
Principle:
An inductively coupled plasma is a high energy optically thin high temperature excitation source which is used to transfer energy to liquid samples in the form of aerosols. These aerosols in the plasma get decomposed into ‘free atoms’, some of which are excited to high energy levels and emit their characteristic radiation. A high resolution spectroscopic system is used for detection and measurement of radiation. Low detection limits and a wide dynamic range extending over six orders of magnitude are special feature of this system.

Applications:
*Elements determined directly in river/sea water.
*Analysis of Environmental samples.
*Analysis of Metals (Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals etc.)
*Analysis of Geological samples.
*Trace impurities in alloys, metals, reagents and solvents.
*Quantitative and qualitative analysis for over 70 elements with detection limits in the parts per billion (ng/mL) to parts per million (mg/L) range.
*Process control.
*Good detection limits.
*Excellent range of determinable elements.
*Many types of samples can be analysed.
*Rapid and cost-effective method.
*Precise and accurate technique.
